Celebrating the launch of the foundation today!

My name is Fabian Grabania (Kowalski until July 2026), I have just turned 18, and… I started a foundation in Poland.

The foundation will support social organizations such as foundations, orphanages, and nursing homes through their digitalization—it will create websites, implement corporate-level teamwork tools, and break down barriers in digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

Its plans also include organizing nationwide e-waste collections in Poland, the processing of which will bring funds dedicated entirely to supporting childhood oncology.

What inspired me to found the organization was one specific campaign. In August 2024, when I switched to homeschooling and was browsing the internet looking for something meaningful to do, I came across a charity drive. That’s when I got the idea to organize a collection for the orphanage in my hometown—Jaworzno. I knew that such a home existed, but I didn’t exactly know where.

I walked around to local stationery stores and asked the owners to set up baskets with posters. I made mistakes—this collection was a process of trial and error for me because I had no experience in organizing such events.

However, its growth was positive. From a small—though as it turned out, not so small—collection, I gathered 1,600 notebooks, among other things. As I counted them, I rubbed my eyes in disbelief—I had nowhere to store them, so I kept them at home.

The day came when I handed over these donations, and I was warmly welcomed by the Director. She showed me around the house, which gave me a broader perspective on the needs of others, and I knew right away that this would not be the last campaign I would carry out.

Shortly after, at the beginning of 2025, even though I was homeschooled, I wasn’t staying at home at all.

I thought about organizing a visit for our students to the Google headquarters in Warsaw, Poland. I couldn’t find any phone number or email, so I decided to write a letter. With a little bit of luck, Mr. Kamil, who works there, replied to me.

We were invited to Google Cloud—the largest Google cloud development center in Europe. We visited an incredibly beautiful and creatively designed place—as many as 14 floors, most of which were architecturally decorated with symbols of all the voivodeships in Poland.

However, I didn’t stop at organizing events for our students—the memory of orphanages was still in my heart.

During the summer holidays, an idea was born in my head to organize a school supply drive. The plan was simple and logical—do a massive collection in supermarkets across the whole Silesia region, transport everything to one place, and ship it to the orphanages. And that’s how, successfully, “Śląska Iskra” (Silesian Spark) was born!—the largest school supply drive for nearly 600 children.

On July 15, collection baskets were placed in Kaufland supermarkets all over Silesia. On August 4, we opened a warehouse at PreZero Arena Gliwice, where all the items collected from the supermarkets arrived, along with a donation from the retail chain itself, pallets of sweets from the Colian Group—Oranżada Hellena, Grześki, and Wafle Familijne—as well as toys from the Tuban company. Together, we packed everything into 50 huge and heavy boxes. Then, we shipped them to the orphanages via InPost courier, thanks to Mr. Rafał Brzoska and his amazing team who came to us from Warsaw and helped with the logistics.

This entire campaign would not have happened without the people who believed in a 17-year-old with an idea. They were the ones who motivated me to take action and made me fulfill this dream.
And that is exactly how
the Fabian Digital Foundation was born!!
